Sochi: Tunnel System # 1 |

27 May 2009, the ceremonial events devoted to the Tunnel System #1 excavation start-up took place. The Tunnel System # 1 is a major Olympic construction project being part of the combined (rail and traffic) road that will be constructed from Adler to the mountain–climatic resort “Alpika-Servis”. The Tunnel System #1 is located near the village of Akhshtyr, at the 15 th kilometer of the road from Adler to the mountain-climatic resort “Krasnaya Polyana” and the Olympic venues.

Commissioning of Lagar-Aul railway tunnel |

In July 28, 2006, Lagar-Aul railway tunnel on the Far-East railway, "Russian railways" JSC, is going to be placed into permanent commission.
New Lagar-Aul railway tunnel is constructed in the branches of Khingan ridge on Trans-Siberian railway, not far from Obluchie railway station
in the Jewish Autonomous Region.

Commissioning of Long Petlevoy tunnel, Severo-Caucasus railway. |

In May 19, 2006, long Petlevoy tunnel was placed into permanent commission. This event finished the reconstruction of tunnels headed through Main Caucasus ridge in 1913-1914. The works performed by tunnel constructors allowed liquidating bulkiness of the tunnels and raising train speed and safety.

The linkage of Korshunovsky tunnel |

In March 15, 2006, on the construction of Korshunovsky railway tunnel the linkage of upper bench of the tunnel was performed. Constructing and functioning tunnels are situated on Angaro-Lensk plateau of Central Siberian Plateau, on the territory of Nizhneilimsk district, Irkutsk region, near West yard neck of Korshunikha railway station, East-Siberian railway.
